Glam hens

The decision on where to celebrate your hen is a tough one - should you stay home, jump on a plane, stay for a night, stay for a week?
After much thought, I have decided to give good ol' Blightly a chance and will be celebrating in style with my best friends in Norfolk! Yes, that's right, Norfolk.
And I have news for you -it's pretty damn sexy these days.
Just check out this place http://www.carringtonhouse.net/

Superbly decorated, right on the beach and with its own karaoke and cinema rooms - what more could a girl want?

For those wishing to stay close to home for their hen, why not check out some of these scrummy websites which offer a whole heap of inspiration: (they might also help you with dreamy honeymoon ideas or even help you discover the venue of your dreams....)

I heart Etsy

For those of you that have yet to discover Etsy - this post is going to change your life.
Etsy is THE place to find endless amounts of gorgeous bits and pieces to enhance not only your wedding, but also your life! The site offers a marketplace for independent clever girls and boys to showcase their talents and allow you to buy.
Please be warned however, hours and hours of your life could be lost browsing though the vast amount of adorable goodies.

Miss Pickles Press

I simply can't quite find the words to describe how much I adore this lady.
Jen - the brains behind Miss Pickles Press is simply brilliant.
If you're searching for fun, creative paper goods then Jen is your girl.
I have recently been collaborating with Jen on getting my invites done and can honestly say I couldn't be happier.
Well, perhaps is she opened a UK store then I'd be happier! Until then, I urge you all to look across the pond and check out the delish designs that this lady is coming up with.

Jo the lovely illustrator

I have to tell you about my clever friend Jo.
Quite the dark horse, Jo usually keeps her wonderful talent under wraps, however I couldn't resist a quick shout out.
Whether you're after bespoke table plans, gorgeous place cards, personal invites or anything else that requires an exceptional illustrator then give her a shout at jo.evans77@yahoo.co.uk

Treat time

Kiddies and grown ups can't resist a good old treat table.
Buy a selection of jars and vases at Ikea or eBay, there are stacks out there.
Finish off the look by investing in the cute stripped paper bags like we used to use back in the day. They're so cheap yet hugely effective.
For sweeties try http://www.aquarterof.com/ which are very clued up when it comes to the sweet stuff.

Groom style

Sometimes it's hard to be inspired when it comes to Groom style.
Personally, I love a bit of colour, and go weak at the knees when it comes to a dicky bow.
Check out Topshop and New Look which have a suprising amount of ties, bows and socks to choose from. Could make a thoughtful, yet useful gift for your handsome ushers.
