The Ultimate Pie Recipe

Ok, so this recipe is from Mumma Sue Powell.

It goes like this.

Get yourself a whole, cooked chicken and tear off all the meat.

Put some butter in a big pan along with a little oil.

Chop an onion with some garlic and cook in pan until soft.

Next add the chicken, plus some chopped mushrooms.

Add a couple of big spoons of flour until chicken mixture is well covered.

Mix in some chicken stock and some cream until you get a creamy mix. Sprinkle on some thyme, add salt and pepper.

If you fancy adding some extra veggies, then go ahead. Sweetcorn, peas and carrots are nice...

Then transfer the pan contents to a pie dish.

Cover with puff pastry.

Bake in oven at 200 degrees for approx. 30 mins

I serve with buttery mash and peas. Oh and a cold glass of white wine. x

Who ate all the pies!?

WE DID! We love a good pie here at Florence Blue, and to celebrate National Pie Week (5 - 11 March 2012) we are rejoicing the pie.
We have also decided to share our TOP SECRET family 'Chicken and Mushroom Pie' recipe which we urge you to sample this week. We'll put it online a little later. It's the bees knees.
